Dubai: It’s good news for mothers-to-be as they can hope to get a special discounted delivery package if they attend a free mega health camp for pregnant mothers to be held on Thursday organised by the GMC Hospital, Ajman.
Those who register on the day, irrespective of their stage of pregnancy, can avail of this special package, the hospital administrators said.
The camp will be open from 9am to 3pm and from 8pm to 11pm on the designated day and will have highly experienced doctors and experts from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology holding the check-ups and consultations.
Elaborating on the free camp, Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Director, Operations Healthcare Division of the Thumbay Group that owns GMC Hospital, said: “We feel that pregnant women need special care during the holy month of Ramadan and hence we wanted to offer them most economical delivery packages. They can also enjoy a discount in Caesarian cases.
“We hope that more people will benefit from this offer. Women who are expecting and want to avail of the facility can register and book the package on the day and they can take benefit of special discounted rates for delivery along with 20 per cent off on laboratory tests and radiology. We have been holding these camps regularly for many years as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, but this year we wanted to do it exclusively for pregnant women. We strongly believe that healthy people make healthy nations and hence we contribute our mite to addressing health issues regularly through such camps.”
