Dubai: Four people were killed and three others seriously injured in a truck crash on Emirates Road, the Dubai Police said on Thursday.
Brigadier saif Muhair al Mazroui, director of traffic department of Dubai Police, told Gulf News that the incident happened on Thursday afternoon when a pick-up truck crashed into the back of a lorry.
“The driver of the pick-up [truck] hit the back of the lorry as he didn’t leave enough distance between the vehicle and the lorry hit another truck,” Brigadier Al Mazroui said.
The driver of the pick-up truck and his three passengers died in the crash.
Three people in the other vehicles suffered serious injuries.
“They were air lifted to hospital for treatment and sustained serious injuries,” Brigadier Al Mazroui said.
