Dubai: Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) former superstar Samboy Lim is heading to Dubai this month.
Lim will be available to train basketball enthusiasts at the grand opening of the Skywalker Basketball Clinic at Strokes Sports Gym in Rashidiya on August 22 at 8pm.
The retired player is expected to share his knowledge of the sport and game strategies to participants.
The 51-year-old Lim, whose real name is Avelino Borromeo Lim, Jr., was named the Philippines' national player several times throughout the 1980s, which earned him a spot in the PBA’s Hall of Fame.
Inter-school friendly
Meanwhile, an inter-school sports event among Emirates High School Basketball League members will be held on the opening day of the Skywalker Basketball Clinic. The event will feature exhibition games and basketball tournaments.
