Abu Dhabi: The Iranian response to the speech of Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, at the United Nations cannot change the facts , Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, tweeted on Sunday.
In a series of tweets in Arabic, Gargash said: “The Shah's regime occupied the three Emirati islands and the occupation still exists. Most of the countries in the region do agree that Iran's regional policy is a key factor of the instability in the Arab world but Tehran is the only one that disagrees.”
Gargash also highlighted that the frequent, unconvincing denial of Iranian foreign ministry spokespersons to these facts has become ridiculous, adding that Tehran’s neighbours suffer from its intervention.
