Some of the world’s biggest K-pop stars will rain down in Dubai as part of SMTown Live World Tour VI on April 6 at the Autism Rocks Arena.

The tour will include 35 stars from SM Town — the umbrella name for artists signed under South Korea’s SM Entertainment — including Kangta, BoA, TVXQ!, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, Trax and Henry.

SMTown Live, which started its first tour in 2008, has travelled to major cities around the world including Seoul, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok and Singapore.

“We are thrilled to bring the best K-pop artists to the region as part of SMTown Live. Korean pop music has grown in popularity at an astonishing pace and has a massive appeal around the world including in the UAE. We look forward to welcoming fans from around the world here to experience the infectious brand of music that is K-pop in all its glory right here in Dubai,” said Mohammad Khammas, the CEO of Al Ahli Holding Group, the parent company of organiser 117Live.

The concert will follow the launch of boyband Exo’s song Power at the Dubai Fountain last month. The band, who attended the event, did not perform then, but fans will now get a chance to see them in action.

Tickets are not on sale yet, but fans can register for pre-sale slots on 117Live’s website.
