Dubai: Emirati professional football player Khalid Sbeel, who is currently playing for Al Wasl Club, has donated a substantial amount of money for the breast cancer cause.

Sbeel, who did not want to disclose the amount, donated the money to the Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA’s) Community and Humanitarian services Department. Sbeel said he wished to help women who could not afford the expensive treatment.

Salim Bin Lahej, director of the Community and Humanitarian Services Department at DHA, commended Sbeel for his donation, as breast cancer treatment can cost more than Dh50,000 per case. Bin Lahej said there are more than 70 registered cases of women suffering from breast cancer in the Community and Humanitarian Services office who need monetary support to continue their treatment.

Bin Lahej called on the public to support these women who are suffering from breast cancer by donating to DHA’s community and humanitarian services department.
