In a statement, Cathay Pacific said the move follows “a management change in the region,” in line with the airline’s strategy to become more competitive by improving the speed and quality of decision-making.

As part of this plan, Cathay Pacific announced it has appointed Jonathan Ng as country manager for the Middle East. He is formerly country manager of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Offline Middle East.

The carrier also appointed Nikhil Kilpady as regional sales and marketing manager for the Middle East, having recently served as sales and marketing manager for the UAE and Oman.
