Dubai: The Dubai Media Office and Dubai World Trade Centre, both bodies of the emirate’s government, held joint celebrations on Tuesday to celebrate the upcoming National Day.
The directors-general of both bodies attended the celebrations at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Festivities included Emirati folk dance and musical performances.
“Celebrating the establishment of the United Arab Emirates is a precious occasion for all of us,” said Dubai Media Office chief Mona Al Merri. “We must always remember our founding fathers who worked hard to give us happiness and prosperity.”
She added: “The love, loyalty and dedication we have towards this country are values we carry with us every day, but the National Day is an occasion for the entire community, citizens and expatriates to gather together to express their gratitude and love for the UAE.”
