Manama: A Saudi man paid dearly for upsetting his driver who in an act of revenge revealed to the sponsor’s wife that her husband had a second woman in his life.
The Asian driver had been working for years for his Saudi sponsor and his family in the Saudi capital Riyadh and both parties were satisfied with the working relationship.
However, the Saudi national went through financially difficult times and was unable to pay the driver who eventually decided to leave Saudi Arabia where he spent five years and return home, local news site Al Sada reported on Friday.
Shortly before taking the plane, the disgruntled driver, however, decided to take revenge on his former sponsor who had told his wife that he was going on a business trip and that he would be absent for some days.
Not on a business trip
The driver contacted the Saudi man’s wife and told her that her husband was not on a business trip abroad as he had claimed and that he was, in fact, with his second wife whom he had married secretly some months ago.
He added that he was ready to give her the address of the second wife’s apartment if she agreed to give him SR5,000.
The wife, under the shock of the revelation, agreed and as the driver went to the airport, she went to the apartment address where she found her husband and his second wife.
According to the report, the first wife filed for divorce, accusing her husband of betraying her trust after 20 years of marriage.
