Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai on Wednesday, is feeling much better.

The same day, the 94-year-old tweeted a picture of himself with his wife, Saira Banu, from the hospital.

“Feeling much better now. Was admitted to Lilavati hospital for routine check-up. Your prayers are with me,” he captioned the image.

The actor shared another photograph of himself sipping tea from a cup.

“Health is wealth said somebody. Mein aap sabhi ka mashkoor hoon ki aapne hamesha apni dua’on mein mujhe yaad rakha. [I am thankful to all of you for always remembering me in your prayers],” he wrote.

The actor was hospitalised and was kept under observation.

“He has been hospitalised today [Wednesday] morning. He complained of swelling in his right leg,” Banu’s manager, Murshid, said.

Born Mohammad Yusuf Khan, Kumar was last seen in Qila in 1998.

The actor was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
