With the festive season almost upon us, every weekend in the lead up to Diwali on October 19 will see some of the top names in fashion showcase their latest collections in the UAE, including celebrity designer Manish Malhotra, along with Rina Dhaka, label Antar Agni and Pakistan’s Maheen Karim. Gulf News tabloid! lights the way to the festivities:

Numaish

One of the most anticipated fashion events come festive season is Numaish. This year’s 18th edition of the fair will bring in 100 designers to showcase their wares. Established names from New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, Hong Kong and the UAE, will be bring their collections, some of which have been previously showcased on the runway at Lakme Fashion Week.

Details: September 22 and 23 at the Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, from 11am to 9pm.

SoPritti

SoPritti returns with its designs on high-end fashion with some talented celebrity designers and jewellers on its roster this year. From the 45 names that includes brands from India and Pakistan, recognisable names include Rimple & Harpreet Narula, Rina Dhaka, Gul Ahmed, Agha Noor, Maheen Karim and Queenie Singh’s jewellery line.

Details: September 23 from 10am to 8pm at Al Roda Al Murooj Hotel, Downtown Dubai; and on September 25 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Abu Dhabi

Vibrance – The Fashion Collective

Vibrance is returning for its 16th edition hosting a handful of premium and niche designers, including labels such as Sass by PoojaS, Chic Therapy, Pallavi Puri and more. Indian and fusion wear will take centrestage, with a focus on jewellery and home decor as well.

Details: September 23 at Taj Dubai from 11am to 8pm.

Design One

The Design One Dubai exhibition returns for its second year, showcasing the best of UAE and South Asian designers. The two-day exhibition will offer the latest trends in haute couture, pret-a-porter, jewellery, accessories and lifestyle offerings with designer to the stars Manish Malhotra as the headliner. With a line-up of more than 55 designers, other notable brands include the likes of Ayesha Depala and Jelena Bin Drai, Misha Lakhani, Bina Modi, Mineali and more.

Details: September 30 and October 1 at Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, from 12pm to 8pm.

Boulevard One

If Diwali and wedding celebrations have you in a tizzy, then a line-up of some of the top labels from India and Pakistan are just what the fashion police has ordered. We are particularly enamoured by Amishi London’s edgy clutches.

Details: October 6 from 3pm to 10pm and October 7, from 10am to 7pm at Palace Downtown Hotel.

Riwaaz

With more than 60 selected exhibitors from India, Pakistan and Dubai, these folks are offering an exclusive festive collection for Diwali across two days, in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Details: September 21 from 11am to 9pm at Sheraton Hotels and Resorts. Then on September 23 at Grand Excelsior Hotel, Dubai, from 11am to 9pm.

The Dubai Pop-Up

This is the place to be on the last weekend in September as top designer labels, including Megha and Jigar, Khalom, Abhishek Vermaa, Virti and Radical offering the latest in festive fare. Plus, the first 20 walk-ins get 20 per cent off.

Details: September 29 from 3pm to 10pm at the Millennium Plaza Hotel, Dubai.

Enigma Diwali Bazaar

Boasting over 75 exhibitors from India, Pakistan, the UAE, London and Hong Kong, this Diwali exhibition promises collections ranging from designer apparels, jewellery home decor and more.

Details: October 7 at Taj Hotel, from noon until 9pm. Children below five years are not permitted.

The Glam Closet

The fashion event returns this year with Varana, a brand from Dover Street, London. Creative Director Sujata Kashavan will also be at the event to meet guests, showcasing the labels intricate work and eastern techniques that have gone into creating this western collection.

Details: October 14 from 10am to 8pm at the Urban Garden, Capital Club, DIFC.
