If the ancient ruins of Carthage are on your travel bucket list, you can now do it from the lap of luxury: The Four Seasons Hotel Tunis launches later this year.
The luxury hotel located along 500 metres of pristine beachfront in the Gammarth district is a 20-minute drive from the historic ruins of Carthage, and its 200 rooms are the largest accommodations in the city. Nearby Carthage’s Roman influences extend to the hotel’s interiors too, with a Roman-inspired spa, pools, gardens and fountains that replicate the historic city’s design and atmosphere. Step out, and the exterior façade has elements of Arabic architecture common to the North African region. The hotel also plans to have a coastal beach bistro and lounge, a Monaco-inspired brasserie and a market venue. Four Seasons Hotel Tunis will be the first Four Seasons in Tunisia and the seventh in North Africa. Visit fourseasons.com.
