Abu Dhabi: Families heading out of the country for holiday have been urged to make sure that they have turned off electrical switches and not left any appliances on to ensure the safety of their residences and others during their absence.
During a radio address that is to be broadcast on Tuesday, Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Civil Defence Acting General Commander-in-Chief will call upon families to ensure that all lights are turned off and both internal and external doors are well secured to foil criminals who take advantage of holidays to carry out thefts.
