Dubai: The French producer of a child nutrition line called Lactalis, are working on recalling baby milk and formula products that have been linked to 26 cases of infection from Salmonella Agona.
All the infection occurrences took place in France, none in the UAE.
None of the cases have resulted in fatalities.
The popular child nutrition product line Celia, have confirmed that they are working with UAE authorities to remove only batches with suspicion of contamination from the shelves.
These include: Picot SL, Pepti Junior 1, Milumel Bio 1 and Picot Riz ti name a few.
A spokesperson has said that approximately 7,000 tonnes of product could have been contaminated.
Lactalis has been compliant with the local rules and protect the health of UAE's residents.
As an extra precaution they are removing 9 batches of CELIA produced since the 15th of February 2017.
