Work on Burj Dubai hotel ahead of time

Dubai: Contractors Arabtec and Besix say concrete works on the Burj Dubai Lake Hotel is more than three months ahead of schedule.
Valued at more than Dh1.3 billion, the Burj Dubai Lake Hotel and Serviced Apartments is a luxury skyscraper adjacent to Dubai Mall. Developed by Emaar, the mixed-use tower will contain 63 floors upon completion and is a part of the Burj Dubai development.
The project, which directly overlooks the Burj Dubai Lake and faces the Old Town, is three months ahead of schedule with its concrete topping out, where the main contractor Arabtec and Besix have been collaborating through a joint venture.
The consultants for the project are WS Atkins and the development managers project managers and quantity surveyors are Mirage Mille Leisure & Development.
Features
The project contains one- to four-bedroom finished apartments, five star hotel guest rooms, restaurants and conference and banquet halls.
Construction progress and eventual completion will become a reference point in the development of new Dubai, said Riad Kamal, managing director of Arabtec Holding PJSC.
