Refad Hotels announces new property at Dubai Media City
Square Media One will predominantly focus on corporate business.
Dubai: Refad Hotels and Resorts announced the addition of a new hotel brand and concept to their portfolio.
The Square Media One, named for its location at the forefront of Media City, is to be a fully connected and integrated corporate hotel catering to the needs of Media City's professionals and visitors.
The hotel is designed as a four-star property.
Refad regional director for the UAE, Henning Fries, described the concept behind The Square as being corporate-focussed, where 70 to 80 per cent of its business will come from the corporate sector found in and around Media City.
"The Square Media One is entirely dedicated to the Media City, Internet City and Knowledge Village population," he said. "It's named The Square in the sense that it will be the meeting place of Media City; a gathering place for fast moving, cutting edge professionals."
The 811,000-square foot Media One building is a mixed-use development comprising of a hotel and offices.
The hotel consists of 264 rooms, four food and beverage outlets, a gym, a swimming pool, a business centre, seven boardrooms, retail space and a spacious lobby. The offices occupy the upper 20 levels of the building and will be rented on a shell and core basis.
