Telecoms sector worth $70b by 2015

Its report also indicates that the Middle East tele-communications market is set to top $50 billion this year.
Fastest growing
The report shows that Arab countries' ranking in the annual ICT Index gained by 43 per cent in 2005 compared to the previous year.
Shaikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), who yesterday opened the Middle East Communication (Mecom) exhibition 2007, said: "The telecommunication sector in the UAE is one of the fastest growing markets, not only regionally, but also on the international level."
