Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) said that the number of registrations on the national .ae domain increased over the last six months reaching 121,320.
The apparent increase indicates the rise in the Arabic e-content, TRA said in a press statement.
The surge of registrations has also been accompanied by a similar rise in demand for registration on the .emirate domain.
Mohammad Nasser Al Ganem, Director General of TRA said, “We are confident that the demand rates for registration with the national domains will maintain gaining more momentum, due to its capacity to meet the users’ needs, and its role to keep Intellectual Property Rights.”
