PCCW-Awaser tops telecom bid
PCCW-Awaser Oman Consortium has emerged as the highest bidder for Class One Full Fixed Public Telecommunications Services in Oman, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced here on Sunday.
Muscat: PCCW-Awaser Oman Consortium has emerged as the highest bidder for Class One Full Fixed Public Telecommunications Services in Oman, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced here on Sunday.
"The announcement of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of the winning bidder for class one integrated fixed public telecommunications services in Oman, is a positive addition to the achievements of the tele-communications sector in Oman," commented Dr Mohammad Bin Ali Al Wohaibi, CEO, Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel). He stressed that Omantel will work side by side with the new consortium in improving the sector.
