Dubai: Etisalat cell phones went off line on Saturday night after a technical snag hit the system in parts of Al Wasl and Jumeirah areas in Dubai.
The mobile phone signals disappeared at around 7pm as people were trying to call.
"Yes, mobile phones are not working due to some technical problem in Al Wasl and Jumeirah and we have already reported the complaints to the department concerned," said an agent at the Etisalat Customer Service Centre last night. However, he did not specify the problem.
Gulf News also received a number of calls from those whose mobiles went silent.
