Dubai: etisalat on Sunday launched More, a loyalty programme that claims to be one of the region's largest reward programmes in the telecom sector.
More is targeted at etisalat's 6.4 million loyal customers.
etisalat customers will be able to earn points on mobile spending and redeem them at the programme's seven partners that include Cellucom, i2, Paris Gallery, Blue Banana, Prime Limousine, Rotana Hotels, Suites and Resorts.
Points earned can also be converted to Skyward miles, Emirates airline's frequent flyer programme. Points can also be earned when etisalat members spend at partners' outlets.
"Since the pre-launching of 'More' at the last Gitex, etisalat has seen 350,000 members register and are expecting the number to increase to 1.5 million by the end of the year," said Ahmad Al Houli, product development manager of etisalat.
"Presently, the programme only applies to etisalat mobiles but as it evolves, it will touch upon more etisalat services," said Eisa Al Haddad, chief marketing officer.
More is a free programme, with no registration or subscription fees. It is currently available for etisalat mobile - prepaid and postpaid customers.
The programme, offers three tiers of membership, More, More Silver and More Gold. As a customer moves up to a higher tier, the number of points earned per Dh1 spent increases up to three times.
Two-year validity
To redeem points at partner outlets, customers will only need to present their More membership card.
Accumulated points are valid for two years, during which the points can be redeemed in bulk or in part.
Points redeemed against etisalat services can be used to make payments towards GSM postpaid mobile services or to top-up credit for Wasel or Ahlan prepaid mobile services.
In addition, customers can transfer rewards to family or friends.
Customers can register at www.etisalat.ae/more or call 800-MORE or or visit an etisalat business centre.
Members can register up to three mobiles in their name under one account.
