Dubai: DU internet cable damage between UAE and Oman caused a disruption for business users, the BlackBerry Technical Support team confirmed on Tuesday evening.
The outage is estimated to have happened since noon Tuesday.
The service disruption affected only the BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) users in the UAE, provided by DU.
The BES is used by businesses in the UAE for company email accounts and can be accessed on smartphones.
The support team suggested that users switch their internet traffic to Etisalat, and if unable to do so, users are advised to contact Du for further updates on the problem.
