What’s new in the UAE
The Korean manufacturer last week unveiled two new LED projectors series that it says are path breakers in each of their segments. The PA 70G, at 700 ANSI lumens, is one the brightest portable projectors and built to last for 20 years, according to LG. It also comes with a nifty wireless capability so you can remotely connect your laptops while the tiny PB 60G series (gosh, some creativity with product names, please) is a palm size wonder. The PA 70G is now available in the UAE for Dh3,199 while the availability of the PB 60G, to cost Dh2,799, has not been announced.
BlackBerry’s got the Gateway
Made available in the US earlier in June, the BlackBerry Music Gateway has arrived. It’s a tiny device that lets you stream your music wirelessly from any Bluetooth-enabled device (not just a BlackBerry) to a sound source connected to the Music Gateway via the provided audio cable. So basically your device – smartphone or tablet – becomes the remote control. Weighing just 22.2grams, the BlackBerry music gateway is tiny, and you’ll be happy to carry it around and share your music. Dh183.99 on ae.shopblackberry.com
Nikon has 13
You can tell it’s summer when it starts raining cameras. And why should Nikon be left behind? The company has just launched 13 new cameras under its Coolpix series. Our favourite is the P510, which comes with a high-power 42x optical zoom and a built in GPS logging function that records location data and creates a log of your routes. We don’t mind the metallic red colour either.
Sugar ears anyone?
This one’s for the youngsters. Candy and cupcake experts It’s Sugar have launched a range of candylicious ear buds that are almost good to eat. Perfect to keep them occupied, privately, with their PSPs and Game Boys.
