Sharjah to issue e-directory by March
The first batch of a comprehensive electronic directory on Sharjah is expected to be distributed by March, a senior official announced on Sunday.
Sharjah: The first batch of a comprehensive electronic directory on Sharjah is expected to be distributed by March, a senior official announced on Sunday.
Heballah Habib, director, See Sharjah, said, "See Sharjah will be launched on nine different DVDs. Each one will contain an e-guide and e-directory covering nine specialities including leisure, education, industrial investment, commercial investment, culture, sport and meetings, incentives, conferences and events.
The project, See Sharjah, will be produced on business card-sized DVDs. The final set will be available by end-2008.
More than 900,000 copies will be initially distributed in Arabic and English and will be distributed free to all government departments and private companies, according to Abdul Aziz Al Midfa, chairman, See Sharjah.
The project estimated to cost Dh25 million, will provide detailed information for feasibility studies. It will also highlight investment and business opportunities in the emirate.
The project is supported by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, ministry of health and ministry of education.
