Muscat: Oman's Information Technology Authority (ITA) formally launched the national ePayment Gateway on Saturday night.
Addressing a large gathering at the Muscat Grand Hyatt, Salem Al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA, pointed out that that the launch of ePayment had ushered in a new era of making electronic transaction easier, safe and secure.
He said it signalled the transformation of Oman's eGovernment plan moving to the transactional phase. "The ePayment Gateway is a key enabler to the successful delivery of public sector services online and this is now operational for people to adopt and benefit."
