New ideas, gadgets and a 150- inch TV
It's not all about brand new ideas, concepts and gadgets. There are numerous items on display at this year's Gitex offering an innovative and fresh take on a product already in existence.

Dubai: It's not all about brand new ideas, concepts and gadgets. There are numerous items on display at this year's Gitex offering an innovative and fresh take on a product already in existence.
One such example is "the biggest entertainment and digital media portal in the Middle East". Getmo Arabia is a joint venture between Arvato Middle East Sales FZ-LLC and the Abu Dhabi Media Company.
Similar to Apple's iTunes, subscribers can download songs, music videos, ringtones, video tones, wallpapers, games and animations to their mobile phone or computer.
Claudius Boller, Vice President of Business Development at Getmo Arabia, said: "The portal covers pretty much everything. The range of music is amazing and it is growing every single day. We aim to cater for all areas of interest including Filipino, Arabic and Western music.
"Until now, the Middle East has been lacking in a service that provides music and entertainment and the opportunity to bundle with products or services."
A collaboration between two existing products is always something to get excited about and the "solar backpack" is no exception. We've all been there. On the way to an important event or meeting and the battery runs out on your mobile phone.
But fear not as you'll never find yourself in that position again if you decide to invest in a solar backpack. It offers the same exciting functions as a normal backpack - storage - but with the added convenience of a number of solar panels incorporated into it.
Tappy Tang, Account Manager of Manson-Solar Technology Limited, said: "The solar backpacks have proved to be very popular in Europe. We also offer portable power suppliers and other products to ensure that your mobile is always fully charged."
And last, but certainly not least, how about investing in the world's largest plasma screen.
The latest release from electronics giant Panasonic is a 150" TV set with "super full high definition" and a 2160 x 4096 pixel resolution. Wonderful moments in sport: priceless. Watching those moments on a 150" screen: Expect to pay over Dh300,000 for the privilege.
