Dubai World unveils online media centre

Dubai: Dubai World launched a media centre website on Tuesday.
Dubai World Media Centre will be an online destination for comprehensive information on all its businesses.
Company announcements and communications will first be revealed on the website.
While the primary target is the media, an important audience is international investors interested in Dubai, according to Fareed Mohammad Ahmad, Secretary-General of Dubai World. "With the growth of Dubai as a brand, more people want to know about Dubai," he said at a media gathering.
Dubai World manages and supervises a portfolio of business and projects for the Dubai Government.
Users will be able to access information on all the companies managed by Dubai World, including DP World, Jafza, Nakheel, Istithmar World, Dubai Maritime City, Limitless, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre. Speaking to Gulf News, Ahmad said the website will "create a gateway to opportunities that exist in Dubai and related organisations that we deal with throughout the world."
He also said that since the information available will be broken down regionally, users can gain insight into economies of the world through the investments Dubai World makes in those regions.
Ahmad said any responses to any incidents related to Dubai World will be posted online.
