Dubai: The mobile government initiative will steal limelight at the two-day mGovernment Conference to be held in Dubai on Monday and Tuesday.
The event will be held at Ritz Carlton DIFC.
The country is moving from eGovernment to an mGovernment and by May 2015, all government departments will operate in consonance with the mobile era by providing a one-stop store that will house all apps to do with various government services and enable all transactions through a single log-in.
The mGovernment will lead to better services for citizens, reduced costs, increased efficiency and accessibility for a larger number of people.
Over 300 representatives of regional government departments and key global IT corporations will be attending the event.
The conference will be opened by His Excellency Ahmad Bin Humaidan, Director General, Dubai Smart Government and will cover key aspects and deliverables of the m-Government initiative.
Distinguished speakers like Osman Sultan, CEO of du; Hassan Al Sayed, Assistant Secretary General-Information Technology Sector, Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR); Ahmad Buhazza, Director of eService Delivery and Channel Enhancement, e-Government Authority of Bahrain; Ahmad Bahrozyan, CEO, Licensing Agency, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai; Dr Saif Al Ketbi, VP-IT, Abu Dhabi Ports Company and Abu Dhabi Airports.
