Acer posts 31 per cent income growth
Computer manufacturer Acer Inc. announced on Thursday that its consolidated revenue grew by 31 per cent, reaching $8.14 billion in the first half this year.
Dubai: Computer manufacturer Acer Inc. announced on Thursday that its consolidated revenue grew by 31 per cent, reaching $8.14 billion in the first half this year.
The company's operating income reached $175.94 million, an increase of 66 per cent compared to the first half of 2007. Acer's profit after tax this year stood at $189.66 million compared to $246.76 million last year.
During the second quarter of 2008, Acer's consolidated revenue reached $4.03 billion, representing a 34 per cent year-on-year growth. Operating income was $87.57 million, a 65 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
