BMW rolls out drop top version of Mini in region
For Middle East Mini enthusiasts desperate to get their hands on the Cabrio variant of BMWs hot seller, the wait is over.
For Middle East Mini enthusiasts desperate to get their hands on the Cabrio variant of BMW's hot seller, the wait is over.
The drop-top has just gone on sale at the Dubai and Northern Emirates importer AGMC and at its Abu Dhabi equivalent Abu Dhabi Motors.
The tin top version has already proved a success since its launch in the region with 1,600 vehicles finding buyers in the Middle East in the past three years.
After being introduced in the summer of 2004 to markets in the rest of the world, the Cabrio now accounts for roughly 10 per cent of total Mini sales - a figure likely to be replicated here.
More than 400,000 Minis have been sold in over 70 countries since its inception in 2002.
"Three years after its UAE launch, the Mini adventure shows no sign of slowing down," said Stathis I. Stathis, AGMC general manager.
