Dubai: The Gitex Future Stars, Middle East and Africa's largest startup confluence of global tech entrepreneurs, international investors and influential corporate buyers, aims at bringing together $7 billion (Dh25.71 billion) worth of deals between investors and startups at its 2017 edition.
The event, to be held from October 8-12 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is a ground-breaking startup event for rule breakers, game changers and dream makers alongside Gitex Technology Week, the region's foremost tech sourcing and networking event.
Around 150 speakers are expected to take to the stage this year including headline keynote speaker Sophia Amoruso of Nasty Gal, Benju Rogers, the founder of Pledge Music and CEO of dotblockchainmedia, Toby Shapshak, Forbes columnist and Stuff Magazine Editor-in-Chief, and Patrick Grove, Chairman and Co-Founder of IFLIX.
Gitex Future Stars will gather over four hundred startups and offer them a platform to showcase their businesses, meet peers, attend inspirational talks and workshops, find mentors, attract investors and network with participating tech giants.

The event will also feature a Gitex Supernova Challenge, exclusively for exhibitors of Startup who have the skills to turn a 3 minute pitch into a $100k cheque.
