Dubai: A German environmental company announced yesterday that it had opened negotiations with a number of Gulf governments and companies to set up a new plant in the region.
EGM Environmental Solutions GmbH aims to produce two new types of diesel and kerosene using the EGM bounding system, or EBS, technology.
The company, which has not announced details of the deal or where the plant will be located, is incorporated in Papenburg, Germany. It conducts research in the areas of green technology and recently signed an agreement with Malaysia to set up a plan to help the country meet its increasing fuel needs.
In 2009, the company announced that it had developed a process of binding CO2 into water to generate carbon-enriched water, using its vortex technology. The new diesel produced from the process is of equivalent grade to regular diesel, with higher calor-ific value per litre of the same grade.
