Bentley, Porsche, Maserati, Ferrari confirm timelines on launches of latest models in UAE

Bentley’s new Flying Spur

The model has gone for a complete restyling with a lower roofline and a more muscular haunch. At a top speed of 320-kmh, Bentley claims superior performance and acceleration through increased power and torque. An eight-speed transmission allows 0 to 100-kmh in 4.6 second. The model also comes with a 14 per cent improvement in the power-to-weight ratio.

Porsche Cayman

The new-generation Cayman two-seater is lower, longer and lighter. The entry-level 2.7-litre version puts out 271bhp, while the 3.7-litre model does a mean 321bhp.

Cost: Base model retails at Dh206,000 and the Cayman S at Dh227,300.

Arrival in the UAE: April

Porsche 911 GT3

The model, part of the 50th year anniversary highlights of the 911, can attain a maximum power output of 475hp. at 8,250 rpm. It can do zero to 60mph in 3.3 seconds. For the first time, the 911 GT3 will be equipped with a specially developed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) to enhance driving comfort. The PDK is directly based on a sequential gearbox from motor racing.

Cost: The 911 GT3 will have a base price of Dh491,100.

Arrival in the UAE: The first shipments are due in September.

Maserati Quattroporte

To live up to the billing of the fastest four-door Maserati, the engines are new and are turbo-charged. The top version can hit a 191-mph clip. The models are fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Cost: Dh525,000 for the V8 version.

Arrival in the UAE: The V8 version will begin delivery from April and a V6 version to follow later in the year.

All-new Range Rover

Available only in a V8 Supercharged version, the model features an eight=speed transmission. But most impressive has been the fact that the manufacturer has trimmed up to 700 pounds from the earlier generation models. The entry-level version puts on a 5.0-litre V8 to produce 375-horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque.

Arrival in the UAE: Deliveries are on-going for those who had pre-booked.

Jaguar F-Type

Jaguar’s blast from the past, the F-Type has set itself up in V6 and V8 formats, with the former twined with a 3.0-litre engine and the 5.0-litre getting the eight-cylinder. The top-of-the-line can soar to 300-kmh.

Arrival in the UAE: Deliveries will start in June.

Rolls-Royce Wraith

Featuring an eight-speed automatic, the two-door comes with the honorific of being the fastest Rolls to date. The 6.6-litre twin-turbo can come up with a zero to 60-kmh in 4.4 seconds.

Cost: TBA

Arrival in the UAE: Could be the latter half of the year.

BMW 4 Series Coupe

The 4 represents a brand new badge in the BMW portfolio. It has done so by removing the 3 Series coupe version from the line-up. There are also plans for a 4 Series convertible.

Cost: TBA

Arrival in the UAE: Scheduled for a September introduction.

Ferrari’s LaFerrari

Another standout from the recent Geneva Motor Show, this is Ferrari tipping its racing cap to hybrid technology. It can deliver a mind numbing 950-hp from a 6.3-litre V12 and an electric motor.

Cost: TBA

Arrival in the UAE: The LaFerrari will be delivered to clients in the UAE from 2014 onwards. No dates or timeframe is set for the delivery dates.
