Abu Dhabi: Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi’s latest retail destination, is set to open its doors to visitors on Wednesday morning with multiple new retail brands including the UAE’s first Lego Store, Joe Fresh, stand-alone Under Armour store, and two-level Go Sports store.
The mall, located next to Ferrari World on Yas Island, will also house Abu Dhabi’s first Hamley’s, Hollister, Brook Brothers, Geant Hypermarket, The Cheesecake Factory, Angelina Café, and Pie Face.
Additionally, the 2.5-million-square-feet Yas Mall will boast the world’s biggest Rollercoaster Restaurant.
In an earlier interview with Gulf News, Talal Al Dhiyebi, executive director of asset management at Aldar Properties, said the mall is expected to attract nearly 20 million people in its first year of operations alone.
“Yas Mall is our most exciting venture for the year. It’s going to be a major contribution towards our recurring income, and it’s our largest asset within our investment portfolio,” Al Dhiyebi said.
He added that there will be various marketing efforts to attract shoppers from Dubai, the GCC, and other countries.
Doors open at 10am, days ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which is expected to attract significant traffic to the mall, according to Aldar Properties, the real estate developer behind the mall.
