Dubai: Shoppers are being greeted by an international mix of music, dance and entertainment as roaming groups bring South American and Chinese themes to the Mirdif City Centre as part of Dubai Carnivals during the month-long 16th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival.
Mirdif City Centre, the latest shopping mall to join the Majid Al Futtaim Properties portfolio, opened in March last year and is taking part in DSF for the first time.
It has an exciting line-up of entertainment events alongside massive promotions and deals lasting up to February 20.
Majid Al Futtaim Properties is a strategic partner of the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE), which is an agency under Department of Economic Development and organises the Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Summer Surprises and ‘Eid in Dubai'.
Fantastic job
The shows at Mirdif City Centre include those by South American and Chinese Groups that go around the entire mall in batches of 20-25 performing artists, adding colour and vivacity to the shoppers' overall experience.
One such cheerful onlooker, Samihah Abdul Latif, a Kuwaiti citizen enjoying her DSF experience with her family, said: "This is my first time in Dubai during the festival period and I have to say I am very impressed. The DSF organisers have done a fantastic job of packing our shopping experience with a lot of fun and entertainment with such carnivals taking place in the mall. The South American Group Show has brought alive the whole ambience at the Mirdif City Centre this DSF."
