Dubai: A waterfront district (Dubai Wharf), an upscale twin-tower (Maram Residence) and now a luxury hotel in Culture Village – with these launches at Cityscape, Dubai Properties certainly has had a busy week. The hotel, due to open in early 2018, will be operated by Anantara Hotel Resorts and Spa. This follows the agreement with the owner of the Anantara brand, Minor Hotel Group.
The hotel will be located in the heart of Culture Village directly facing the Dubai Creek and close to the new mixed-use project Dubai Wharf and the residential property Manazel Al Khor.
“This is part of a growing portfolio of hotels for DP which we will develop in key areas of Dubai… Anantara is a brand which is synonymous with luxury, and we expect the hotel to become a key attraction for Culture Village,” said Mohammad Al Habbai, Chief Officer of Urban Planning and Infrastructure at Dubai Properties Group.
DP has appointed Das as lead architect for the project, with groundbreaking expected to commence in the fourth quarter this year. The hotel will comprise 270 rooms and will have waterfront views of the creek.
“With an established and well-known portfolio of hotels and resorts in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, further growing our footprint in the UAE is of key strategic importance to Minor Hotel Group,” said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO.
