Ras Al Khaimah: The second Ras Al Khaimah Real Estate and Investment Show (RAK Reis), to be held at the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre from May 22 to 24, has attracted the region's leading developers, according to Electro Med, organisers of the show.

RAK Reis will showcase prominent real estate projects across the emirate, delivering a wide array of business prospects for corporate and individual investors as well as foreign direct investments, the event organisers said in a statement.

Tourism potential

The event also seeks to tap into Ras Al Khaimah's tourism potential, one of the primary catalysts to the emirate's ongoing real estate boom.

The number of visitors to the emirate is expected to grow from 500,000 in 2007 to 2.5 million by 2012.

"Ras Al Khaimah is emerging as one of the most vibrant real estate markets not only in the UAE but in the entire region. The emirate's unique natural environments offer various lucrative property development opportunities," said Waheed Khalid, managing director of Electro Med.

"RAK Reis provides the sales platform for exhibitors to showcase their portfolio to corporate and individual investors and thus realise the immense industry potential of Ras Al Khaimah," he said.

Targeted at the final consumer rather than at trade visitors, RAK Reis has been the forerunner in showcasing real estate opportunities across the major property markets.
