LG wins Dh20m contract in Jumeirah Golf Estate
LG Electronics on Monday said it had won tenders with a total value of Dh20 million to outfit over 360 villas in the prestigious Jumeirah Golf Estates project in Dubai.
Dubai: LG Electronics on Monday said it had won tenders with a total value of Dh20 million to outfit over 360 villas in the prestigious Jumeirah Golf Estates project in Dubai.
The agreement was signed this week between LG Electronics, MEP Star, the main contractor for the project, and Fortune International Trading, distributors for LG commercial air-conditioners in the UAE.
The first order - valued at $2 million - is a significant win for LG, and represents the single-largest order in this segment.
LG will outfit over 360 luxury freehold villas with their Multi Power Systems - During their first phase, 180 villas will be equipped with the lighting systems.

The project is being facilitated by the main contractor Al Naboodah Laing O'Rourke.
The agreement was signed by H.S. Paik, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE, Adam Wade, Director of MEP Star LLC and Samer Baassiri, Executive Director of Fortune International Trading.
Deal partner, Fortune International is to provide support, design and maintenance teams to the project.
