Golden Tulip officially launches four-star hotel in Al Barsha
The Golden Tulip hospitality group officially launched its first property in Dubai, Al Barsha, yesterday. The Dutch company's four-star hotel features 125 rooms, including 12 suites.
Dubai: The Golden Tulip hospitality group officially launched its first property in Dubai, Al Barsha, yesterday. The Dutch company's four-star hotel features 125 rooms, including 12 suites.
The hotel started operating in July 2007 and also features four restaurants, a rooftop swimming pool and other facilities.
The hotel has a non-smoking floor. Part of its suites and deluxe rooms have no-smoking zones. Its banquet hall can accommodate up to 100 guests.
Mustafa Chatila, area director, sales and marketing, said the group has 33 hotels in the Middle East and will increase the number to 60 by the end of 2010.
He also said new projects includes hotels in Oman's Suhar Al Qurum, and five-star hotels in Salalah. By the end of 2009, a hotel will be launched in Al Ain, two Flamingo hotels in Abu Dhabi and six properties in Dubai, one of which will open in October this year. There are two more hotels launching in Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah, according to Chatila.
He added that the company will have five new hotels in Jordan by 2010 as well as properties in Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The group has over 900 hotels worldwide, providing 85,000 rooms in more than 50 countries.
Golden Tulip operates 264 hotels worldwide and manages 60 others.
