NPCC says executing projects worth $2b
Abu Dhabi-based National Petroleum Constr-uction Company (NPCC), is currently carrying out engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and installation projects, located both offshore and onshore, worth $2 billion, a senior company executive said yesterday.

The projects are spread across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and India,
"In 2006, we were executing projects that were cumulatively worth $1 billion, now it's double. We are trying to consolidate our position in the market and getting ready for future expansion and growth in the near future," the NPCC executive told Gulf News.
Aqeel A. Madhi, NPCC's chief executive officer, said the company is eyeing further business opportunities in the Gulf region, besides India. "Opportunities in the region are plenty and we want to take a good share of the market. We are particularly interested in Kuwait and Oman," said Madhi.
NPCC is a public joint sto-ck company owned by the General Holding Corporation (GHC) and the Consolidated Contractors Group.
