Profit up 64% as revenues touch Dh359m
Dubai: UAE's Dana Gas said yesterday said its third-quarter gross profit rose 64 per cent compared to the same period in 2008.
The firm did not give a breakdown of its results or figures, but said in a statement on the bourse website that revenues in the third quarter stood at Dh359 million ($97.74 million), up 12 per cent.
It made a net profit of Dh26 million in the third quarter of 2008, according to previous financial statements.
However, company executives were not immediately available to clarify the figures.
Dana Gas shares were down 1.74 per cent at 0637 GMT.
Dana Gas is a public joint stock company and the first regional private sector natural gas resource enterprise established in the Gulf region.
It holds assets and contractual entitlements to the largest private sector integrated natural gas supply chain in the Gulf.
