Dubai: Advertisers are not about to miss out on any available digital platform to connect with consumers. That would explain why in-app advertising has been recording triple-digit growth rates amid the favourable conditions that exist in the Middle East.
According to mobile advertising network inMobi, consumers with heavy feature mobile phones or smartphones spend on average 27 per cent of their time on the web through their handsets. Consumers are now spending more time using mobile internet than watching TV.

"Content owners have a choice to monetise all of these platforms either through their own workforce or by outsourcing to a partner," said Richard O'Sullivan, head of sales at InMobi.
Mobile search is growing at an estimated 170 per cent year-on-year.
Globally around 80 per cent of users use the search option first when they switch to a smartphone.
