Oil majors, Fauji lead gains on benchmark

Karachi: Pakistan's benchmark stock index, the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index, rose 0.23 per cent at the close of the day's trading yesterday.
The index of 100 companies traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange rose 25.78 to 11,303.80. Among the stocks in the index, 46 rose, 33 fell and 21 were unchanged.
Gains in the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index were led by Oil & Gas Development Co, Fauji Fertilizer Co Ltd and Attock Petroleum Ltd.
Active stocks
Engro Corp Ltd, which fell Rs1.89 to Rs103.20, was the most active stock by value in Pakistan.
The next most-active issues were Fauji Fertilizer Co Ltd, which rose Rs3.83 to Rs156.00, and Pakistan Oilfields Ltd, which rose Rs1.36 to Rs361.00.
