Every shopper at Grand Stores is a "guaranteed gold winner" when he or she purchases certain products from the store during Gitex, according to a top official.

Dubai: Every shopper at Grand Stores is a "guaranteed gold winner" when he or she purchases certain products from the store during Gitex, according to a top official.
"No strings attached, and no 'terms and conditions' apply," Sanjay Dabur, Grand Stores general manager for Imaging and Information Technology, said.
"All shoppers who buy certain products will win gold, through an sms registration, which will determine the quantity, from a few grams to a kilogramme."
Grand Stores, distributor of Nikon, Fuji Film, Epson, Sandisk, Packard Bell and MSI notebooks, has witnessed a 100 per cent jump in sales during Gitex, Dabur said.
The company is participating in the Gitex Shopper as a retailer, and its products are also sold through distribution channel partners.
"We have launched MSI - a new notebook for the regional markets with a base price of Dh1,500. This is doing extremely well. Despite the competition and cut-throat pricing, the laptop is doing well," Dabur added.
Grand, which has 18 stores served by 850 professionals, have been distributing a wide range of consumer and lifestyle products for the last 25 years.
