Abu Dhabi: With foreign funds flowing into the country's markets, the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (Esca) conducted a new investor awareness seminar about futures in the capital yesterday.
The seminar will be followed by another in Dubai today, conducted in cooperation with the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX).
"Local investors and professionals working in the fields of derivatives for commodities or currencies need to fully understand the potentials offered by such instruments," an Esca official told Gulf News.
The regulator is working on drafting rules to introduce new instruments in the UAE markets.
DGCX, which opened since November 2005, is the only exchange in the Arab world for derivatives.
