Dubai stocks hit 9-week high
Dubai's stock market index DFM surged to a 9-week high Tuesday

Dubai: Dubai’s stock market index DFM surged to a 9-week high Tuesday as buyers looked for bargains especially in the real estate sector.
Emaar rose 4.68 per cent to Dh3.80, Deyaar gained 8.70 per cent to Dh0.50 and United Properties added a whopping 13.04 per cent to Dh0.52.
The loser’s list was topped by Hits Telecom, which retreated 4.35 per cent to Dh1.32. The DFM index itself climbed 2.1 per cent to 1,758 points.
Abu Dhabi’s ADX slightly fell 0.2 per cent to 2,861 points, dragged down by heavyweight Etisalat. The telecom provider fell 1.59 per cent to Dh12.55.
