An Indian festival to showcase the country's goods and services will take place from December 1 to 12 at the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre.
The festival coincides with the UAE National Day when Indian musicians will take part in the emirate's festivities.
"This is an ideal opportunity for Indian business people to discover the potential of Ras Al Khaimah," said Zain Al Abideen Salim, president of the Indian Association and chairman of the emirate's Indian School.
"Organised by Royal Events, this is a real chance for Indian business people to take part in the emirate's progress," he said while inviting Indian businesses to take part.
He paid tribute to Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, who has shown great support and interest in the Indian festival, the first of its kind.
There will be 113 stands to promote goods and services ranging from textiles and handicrafts to food, computers and tourism.
Indian groups will perform classical, folk and cinematic dances besides many other cultural programmes.
The students of the Indian School in Ras Al Khaimah will take part in the cultural activities and invitations for Indian schools in the UAE will be sent to make the festival a major Indian celebration.
The festival will host a number of bands and negotiations are under way with cinema operators and cultural groups.
