Mansour chairs EIA's first board meeting
Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, on Monday presided over the first meeting of the board of directors of Emirates Investment Authority (EIA).
Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, on Monday presided over the first meeting of the board of directors of Emirates Investment Authority (EIA).
Shaikh Mansour outlined EIA's role in drawing up policies for investment of federal government reserves to generate viable revenues for the federal budget and to diversify sources of income.
The board approved formation of an executive committee to coordinate tasks and to prepare the EIA's bylaws.
The committee members are Eisa Al Suwaidi, Hashim Al Dabal and Abdul Hamid Saeed.
A presentation was made by the Ministry of Finance on the federal government's investments.
The meeting was attended by Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and EIA's deputy chairman, and board members Khadim Al Qubaisi, Saoud Ba'alawi, Abdul Hamid Saeed Hashim Al Dabal and Eisa Al Suwaidi.
The EIA was established last November by a federal decree issued by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
