Kuwait: Iraq's debts to Kuwait are to be reallocated as investments inside Iraq, said Iraqi Parliament Speaker Eyad Al Samarrai during a visit to Kuwait on Thursday.
Al Samarrai said that he has presented a proposal to Kuwaiti officials, which suggested that Iraq's debts will be turned into investment projects within the country.
“Kuwait has agreed that the compensations are turned into investments inside Iraq,'' the Al Watan newspaper reported.
Al Samarrai added that the idea was welcomed and that the Kuwaiti side will study the proposal's feasibility.
