Mohammad receives first Seoul tourism award
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been awarded the first Grand Tourism Award by the local Seoul government.
Seoul: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been awarded the first Grand Tourism Award by the local Seoul government.
The award was received by Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, on behalf of Shaikh Mohammad in the South Korean capital on Friday.
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, who handed over the award, said Shaikh Mohammad was selected to receive the award in its first edition since he is considered the driving power behind the development of business and economy in Dubai and his achievements in the tourism field, which made the emirate an international tourism hub.
Shaikha Lubna thanked the local government of Seoul for selecting Shaikh Mohammad, which reflects its ongoing follow up of the great achievements in Dubai's tourism sector.
It also reflects Seoul's appreciation of Shaikh Mohammad's ideas, which contributed to developing tourism at the Asian and Pacific region and all over the world.
About 19 other prizes were distributed during the ceremony.
